what exactly is a "soul mate"?

A lot of people have different opinions of the definition of a soul mate, however, my definition is simple really. I believe that you can only ever be in love with one person throughout your whole life, that person who you happen to fall in love with, I believe is your soul mate.. When you find someone who you are madly in love with, and can’t see yourself with anyone else besides that person, then that is your soul mate.

My guess is its like destiny, u were meant to be together and I don’t know how to tell u have found them except for bn very happy with them

theres an old tale that says that at the begining of ur life, ur soul was split into two, and the other half was randomly put into someone else, and u spend ur life trying to find that person.

i think a soul mate is when you find your perfect love and u love them forever

It’s just a term for the person you ‘meant’ to be with…

soul mate or true love is the person/being/item (yes there have been cases of items) that one cherishes over all else this sorta thing is kinda hard cos there are a lot of things that go into the soulmate…. main things are:

1. understanding
2. emotions
3. trust

i could go deeper but thats the main 3 points one should look for, perfect harmony is said to exist between them, happiness comes without reason and everything seems much sweeter

but the truth is a different story…..

soulmate can be one sided, just like love (essentially it is love) good actors can hide behind this and exploit the other person

in the end it lasts up to 4 yrs, then ull just turn into friends who occasionally sleep with each other….

still though, its quite a ride :D

someone who you love every single little thing about them, someone who you find perfectness in their flaws, and they do the same. someone who you would risk your life and everything in it for and know you would do the exact same for you. someone who you connect with on every level and who is also you best friend, aswell as your perfect match.

Yeah I think i have found mine but we have both been hurt in previous relationships and he has already said that it’s very hard for him to trust me and that he will never tell any females he date or ina relationship with that he loves them. He doens know my secret. I feel like i love him. He’s perfect in every way.

some one that you believe that you could spend the rest of your life with knowing that you love them and they love you back and that the burning love in both of you will never fade away.

i actually found my soul mate here recently and the funny thing is, we have known each other for many many years. We lost touch about 5 years ago and when we found each other again, we just thought it was going to be a friendly reunion…. boy was i wrong. we have pretty much everything in common. we even make our coffee the same way! Even though he is going through a very hard time right now and its putting a bit of a strain on our relationship (he has an ex wife that is trying to get back with him) i am more than willing to wait for him to get his head straight because i don’t want to loose him. I love every little thing about him, even his flaws.

ive found mine, and im only 14, i know shes my soul mate mainly because shes the only one that can get me”happy” down there, and also the fact that i can honestly say ive never loved someone as much as i love her, and weve talked about sex and stuff but we both know we just arent ready for it
