What songs could you put in a Narnia musical and when?

Answer #1

When it comes to musicals, the music is usually made for and tailored to the play, the time you want it, and the situation they’re in. Sometimes a slow song works better than a fast one because of the the way the actors speak during a certain scene, that kind of thing. Depending on how much time you have, you could have a few songs written, and for some of them, just the lyrics written and put to the instrumental version of a song you know. I don’t know the book, or the movie, and to be honest, the play version of it probably varies from both of those to fit the stage better. If you’re planning the music, you have to consider a lot of things, from the pitch they should be in according to the feeling of the song, to what parts to give to which characters, not only because of their personalities, but because of the differences in the actors’ vocal ranges. It’s too much to answer that simply.
