All of the lists of songs that you personally like are really important here.

I viewed quite a few lists as they show them on the internet from Billboard’s top 100 for the 80’s, but what I find is that there are a lot of real lame songs on some of those lists, mixed in with the “good” dance stuff” that most people would definitely not want to hear played all night long. And, what I’d like to do is put together a real “killer” night of 80’s dance material.

I’m putting together a DJ thing and I really want to focus on some quality dance music that is primarily of the 80s…seeing as how the 80’s are the new “oldies” and are replacing the 50s and 60s that have been so poplular for years. (The standard “oldies” seem to occur every 30 years. For example, in the 50s… the “oldies” back then were songs of the 20s… and so on.) And, being as old as dirt myself, I don’t think there are any better experts for this kind of music (The80s) than the people of today who actually get out there and dance to it.
