Song Writing

I really LOVE music and I think if I work my voice I could sing really good I really want to write songs but I have a few problems with that…

  1. I can’t read music
  2. I can’t write songs worth crap I’ve written a few freewrite poems that don’t really ryhme they pretty much suck
  3. I don’t know how to get a rhythm I only know other songs

any help??? is there any hope for a hopeless dreamer??? (that sounded cool lol! sorry for the melodramatic-ness)

Do you play an instrument? If not I’d suggest starting out on guitar and learning some basic chords and stuff then you could sing along to that, you don’t even need to have words written you could just hum the vocal melody, works for me! And you don’t have to be able to read music, music is meant to be played not read!

You need to take music lessons on either an instrument, or voice. Right now, you simply lack formal training. Getting music lessons could turn a dream into a reality for you instead of just talking about it. Take action and realize your dreams to their fullest potential.
