How do i solve things with my boyfriend?

My boyfriend has been trying to get me to dress differently. And I have been telling him, it’s not my style, it;s not me, it’s uncomfortable. he responds with how come all the other girls can wear that stuff|? I tell him I’m not them. I dont dress that way. I offer to compromise, that i would wear it once in a while just for him, but he seems unappreciative. Then we begin to argue and he does not understand that the reason I am so pissed isnt because of the clothes it is becuase he is trying to change me and acting like he has some sort of authority over me. I try to tell him this but he always responds with “I dont see the big deal, other girls wear it”. Then when i try to discuss it with him as calm as I can, all i get are robotic answers “ yes, ok, I dont” I dont know what to do. Weve been at if for a while now, and I love him. He never used to be like this, he always used to love me and appreciate me the way i am and for who i am, I don’t understand why the change. I love him and I am not willing to break up with hi, I just really want to fix this.
