Do you think he's dead?

I have a really close friend, we went out for a while but I ended up dumping him for reasons that are really personal to both of us. but we are still friends!! anyway, he has never missed school. well actually, he has missed ONE day this year and it was because he was seeing some old friends from san fran. well, lately he’s been telling me that he hates his life because it sucks, how mad he is and how upset he is. no matter what I tell him it doesn’t seem to help. and then last friday he came up to me and was like “I’m happy now! my life is f*cking great, you don’t know me at all anymore.” and just walked away!! I didn’t really know what to say so I just blew it off. he’s kind of dramatic sometimes so I was like… okkk… whatever. well, now he hasn’t been to school for the past two days, and I know he’s not sick. I’m so worried that he might have tried to kill himself!! he’s tried 7 times already an di’m really freaking out!! am I just being stupid and paranoid? maybe I’m making to much of this? I want to call him but I forgot his number, I know where he lives but it’s like 8 miles away and I don’t want to just show up at his door with no excuse other then I was worried… how mommy like is that?! if he did try to kill himself would it have been on the news, would the school have told me?! please help, I’m losing my mind here!
