Snakes

Ok well I want a pet snake and my mom is letting me get one! And im soo excited! I have been doing a lot of research on what to feed it and its habitat! But I have been trying to find a tank for it! Im getting a cornsnake and they only grow about 4 ft. And some are even smaller then that! But I just wanna know how much a tank costs? And how big should it be? People are saying a 10 gallon is good for awhile but when they grow alittle bigger you should get a 20 gallon tank! Let me know! Thanks!

Well I used to own fish. And when I bought a 30 gallon tank for them, Plus the rocks and the stand. It ran me about $430 dollars 2 years ago.

A ten gallon tank is fine to start with, but when the snake starts to get big, that won’t work anymore.

But, they grow pretty slowly, so that’ll work fine for a long time.

Snakes are awesome!!

An adult corn snake can be up to six feet long and need at least a 20 gallon aquarium. 20 gallon aquariums can range from $100 and up if you buy them new, but you could always try to find a used one. They’re a little expensive but buying the biggest you need now will save you from having to buy a second aquarium when your snake outgrows his first home. Make sure you get one that has a good locking, but well ventilated lid.
