I started smoking cigs when I was 13 years old. I met my boyfriend when I still smoked and he was ok with it for the first few months. I quit for almost 2 years so I know that I can quite. I know it might sound stupid but I want to smoke. I like smoking. And now that I know that I can quit the ill quit later on when I want to stop smokeing but he still dosent want me to smoke. What do I do.
Thats what they all say..."I can stop when I want to", "I am in control", "I just want to". You know it is wrong. You know it will kill you. My grandmother recently had a major heart attack which almost killed her. She was a smoker too. Trust me, you may think you are in control now, but later you wont be. The only reason you want to start again is because that nicotine craving is calling out to you. There is no other reason why you "suddenly" decided that you needed a smoke. Its a thing of comfort to you, but it is very harmful. There is no reason for you to be smoking. It doesnt look cool, its gross,it smells, its not fun, it will KILL you, its unhealthy, and your boyfriend (and im sure your friends too) do not approve. I am sorry to be kind of a b*tch about this, but serioulsy, you know its wrong. You are asking for advice on it! If you knew it was okay, you would have already fully took up the habit again, but your judgement told you to seek out advice. well . . Emma, I get were your comming from. and im not talking about crack or anyhting. its cigs. I no its harmfull. and I dont have any cravings and I dont do it to look cool. My grandmother is dieing of Lukeemea ((or how ever you spell it)) also. I just like doing it. I no I can stop because I did and I didnt have any problims with it. and as for my friend. . . they all smoke to. I just dont understand why I cant do it whenever he's not around.
It's good that you're not doing it around him and that he won't smell any evidence on you when you see him. But if you keep this up, he will see the evidence. You're going to develop a smoker's cough, bad skin, and bad teeth. He's just concerned for you in the long run. Even though you quit on and off, the ash never leaves your lungs.
but thats the thing I want to smoke. and I stoped to test myself to see if I really could stop on a dime. and I can. I did for almost 2 years. and its not killing him because I told him that I wouldnt do it around him, or before we would go out together. so he wouldnt ever smell it or see it
You know it's a bad habit. What's the point of quitting if you're just going to start again? You're just giving yourself excuses to smoke again. Respect your boyfriend's wishes, your smoking is killing him too.
Haha I smoke too and my man hates it.Eventhough I smoked before we even got together he wants me to quit.Im my oppinion do what you want you only have one life to live. :)
