How to do smokey eye makeup for green eyes?

I am moderately fair skinned with light brown hair and dark green eyes with grey rings around the eye and gold flecks in the iris. I want to acheive a smokey eye affect with eyeliner and eye shadow. I want an eye shadow color for all over the eye and something for the crease and an eye pencil or liner that would best enhance my eyes while not making my undereye circle look to dark. Please also suggest the best color of mascara to wear. Do I need to to wear a different color of eye pencil under the eye such as teal? Thanjs so much

I think some browns and purple-ish shades would look good. If you are trying to achieve the smoky eye effect, you MUST go to youtube.com and search it. They have really great videos on there on how to do it and everything. Also a bunch of other make-up techniques. Thats how I learnt everything I know about applying make-up.

I have green eyes that sound just like yours! you could do a dark silver/ black smokey look, but I find deep purples bring the color of your eyes out WAYY More

like a medium metallic purple for the lid, and a dark matte plum for the crease. deep purple or black liner for upper lid, medium or dark purple liner for lower lid, line the water line with black and you will have gorgeousss eyes.

as for mascara you could get a purple one ( though they usually just look like a soft black..) I just wear black mascara though!

Ok, so what you need to do is get a grey-ish golden eye shadow. It will really bring out your eye color and make your eyes look beautiful. You should make it dramatic close to your eyes, but don’t use too much. As you work your way up to your eyebrows, make a suddle shadow. I hope this helped!!!

try a green smokey eye??? get a pale green or a skin toned colour with a hint of shimmer and blend all over socket and up to brow line ten try a bright parrot green colur for the crease and the ball of your eye apply a sliver eyeshadow to the inner corner and under your eye blend everything really well a black eyeliner on waterline and black mascara shud b fine if you have a steady hand a black liquid liner looks really good with a slight flick @ the outer corners or try a green glitter liquid liner or just apply soe glitter using vasaline not to much glitter tho. the look is smokey not glittery so go easy also as everyones been saying youtube!! try makeup geek, bubzbeauty, and tons more enjoyX

  1. Get the eyeliner with the little brush on the other side, and apply it both to your upper and lower lids ( make sure on the lower lids you put it on only on the outer half of the lid )
  2. Use the brush on the eyeliner at carfully ( not too hard) sweep it out.
  3. Get a grey eyeshadow and apply it on your upper eyelid.
  4. Then get alittle brush and abit up and to the outer part of the eye

I do this when I go out and its good when wanting to look a couple of years older Hope this helps!!! :)

Your eyes sound gorgeous! :) I have blue / green eyes but I generally like going for the smokey black effect. For a smokey eye use the following steps:

Step 1: Holding the skin of your upper lid taut, apply eyeliner from the inside corner of the eye outward. Draw strokes into the lash line. The middle of the line should be a bit thicker than the edges.

Step 2: Use a cotton swap (or your finger) to “smudge” the liner.

Step 3: Dab an eyeshadow brush into a deep-hued eyeshadow and apply over the eyeliner to set the line. (Blow on the brush first to remove any excess shadow). Layering liner with a shadow is the secret to a perfect smoky eye.

Step 4: Blend shadow well, then follow with eyeshadow. “color should diffuse from rich and dark near the lashes to almost sheer as it extends to the crease.”

Yes and what stephanief987 said: go on youtube! They have great videos showing you how to do all sorts of makeup tricks.

Good luck!
