I have the 2003 version, if you have a later version it’ll differ slightly.
Go to:
Insert movies and sounds sounds from file And then choose the file you want to play.
The to edit it, right click on the sound icon that will appear once you’ve inserted the sound to the presentation and edit it in terms of how long you want it to play etc.
