I am not sure that there is a best way to do anything thing really however in the art of pie slicing cut it in have and then pices from there and you should be good take into consideration if you are cutting it while it is still in the pie pan or out side…I would go with in much less of a chance of a mess and don’t forget a good knife is a must for such a task.

Detremine how many slices you need. If for example you need 8, you would slice the pie in half, turn clockwise, then slice in half, repeat until you have 8 equal slices. Make sure the knife goes all the way through the pie, its not good when the bottom of the pie isn’t cut and your piece comes out a mess.
