Would it be okay if I sleep with my lip piercings, with just the post and no ball?

Why do you want to take the ball off to sleep? There’s no reason to do that. Not only is it dangerous because then your piercing is not secure and you can swallow the post, if its a newer piercing and the post comes out in the middle of the night your piercing will close up.

The ball on the end of the post should be attatched to the piercing anytime you are wearing it. It is what keeps the piercing from coming out.

I lost all of them & bought new ones yesterday (& it was just a packet of 4 attachments with no posts) weren’t the right size, they were 14s while my posts are 16 & they keep coming off, I’m hopefully getting new ones today though.

I slept without one before and it fell out and almost closed up. Wouldn’t recommend it. Especially if it’s been pierced less than like a year. will close too fast. Just wear a ball on I to be safe. Or if you wear a ring/barbell without a ball it should fall out as easily. But I dot think you should sleep with just a bar. If you have no balls (haha) no really. If you’ve got no balls for them try sticking the little plastic thing off the top of certain hairbrushes on it . Or if your stuck blue tack or chewing gum. Even a little bit picked off an eraser works once you don’t chew on the back and leave it alone. I know I’m probably too late answering this but hope I helped somebody else who searched this question .

I’ve used rings with no balls for about 5 years and I’ve never had a problem. I’ve done the same with studs too I just prefer rings and it’s always so hard for me to screw a ball or anything onto a stud while it’s in. Just make sure there pushed all the way against your lip when you go to sleep and they should be fine if not move up a size maybe and they’ll definately stay in.
