What is the slavic dish called?

Every year, we have this slavic dish at Christmas. It’s essentially saurkraut with tiny bread-balls (like thumbnail sized). It’s supposedly pronounced “Buh-bie-kee”, but I can’t find the correct spelling.

Answer #1

It sounds like what you are looking for is “Bobalki”. It’s small balls of bread dough sweetened with honey and often topped with poppy seeds and/or fried sauerkraut.

Answer #2

That’s it! Thanks! (Sorry, I’m a month late, haven’t been on FunAdvice in a while) Thanks again for the help. We usually do it without the honey, and the bread balls are smaller, but asides from that, it’s exactly the same.
