Does your skin and hair usually look/sit nice when you are on your period or the opposite?

When I have my.. time of month.. haha, my skin and hair sit really nice and I never get any zits or blemishes or anything. Everyone else I know always complain of the opposite- Getting pimples, oily hair, blotchy skin etc when they have their period.

- Anyone else who seems to be back-to-front like me?

- Also why could this be? Or am I the right way around and everyone I know is backwards? < Yeah probably not.. haha.

Answer #1

My hair actually becomes really dry and i get dry skin which makes me break out in more spots >.<

Most my friend have what you said pimples/oily hair/blotchy skin…looks like im one of a kind ;3

Answer #2

my skin usually breaks out during my oeriod but my hair stays the same.

Answer #3

I wouldn’t notice about my skin much ‘cause I’m usually too busy fighting off really bad cramps… I think it does get a bit bad sometimes though. Other times it seems to be better than normal almost. For my hair…eh. I would assume mainly kinda oily … Don’t wanna go there about why…lol.

Answer #4

I never really notice a difference, I’m pretty much perfect all the time :P I jest of course, but no, I never really get any major problems during my time!

Answer #5

I’m like you. I never break out or anything.

Answer #6

I can sometimes get spots, mainly on my chin as that is the place related to hormonal changes, but I rarely get them anymore. I think it is because I am on the pill so it sort of balances my hormones most of the month. Are you on the pill at all, because if so that could be why you don’t tend to break out or anything during your period. I am not sure why you would have better skin and hair than usual though- maybe you spend more time pampering because of cramps and stuff, to make you feel nice, and it has a direct effect on your body? Or else, do you eat healthier/ less junk food around that time (possibly because you feel nauseous with PMS?), as this could help your skin and hair improve.

I have to say my hair isn’t affected by my cycle really and never has been. Some days it is just stupid and some days normal, it doesn’t matter what time of the month it is.

Answer #7

I get a lot more acne>.< But my hair has more volume and looks a little nicer though:D So it evens itself out…

Answer #8

Opposite, for me.

Answer #9

I’m the same exact way, my skin clears up completely. It’s kinda lame that when I feel the grossest I look the best haha.

Answer #10

Ulgh! I hate that time of the month. My skin becomes oily and breaks out, usually around my mouth and on my chin… Where I can’t cover it with my hair! My nails get dry and start chipping. Atleast my hair stays the same, thank goodness. We are all different. Just because some do and some don’t, doesn’t make you abnormal. Every woman is different and will have a different experience. Luckily today there are allot of different products to help with these annoyances. :-)

Answer #11

Actually… I get 2 to 5 zits in my face, I count 3 days and then my period starts. Every month. :-/ My skin looks best in the middle, between 2 periods.

Answer #12

My nose breaks out absolutely BEAUTIFULLY at that time of month :(
