How much should my sister's baby be moving at 40 weeks?

She says the baby is just sleeping but you really only feel him move once a day and thats alarming to me but she thinks it s fine. Is this bad at this point in pregnancy to be feeling little to no movement

By 40 weeks, the baby is big and there isn’t much room in there. They also sleep alot. Gently shake your tummy during the day when you don’t care if the baby is awake. I would ask your doctor about it at your next appointment, which should be once a week by now. Good luck, and remember, it is much easier to take care of that baby where it is now rather than where it will be in a couple of weeks! Not a Dr. btw haha

I quote “During the last two weeks of your pregnancy, the movements are likely to slow down and your baby’s growth rate will decline slightly. This is all completely normal and nothing to worry about. “ http://funadvice.com/r/bj0fp39f8jq

I’d really go to the doctors though to ensure everything is fine.

omg! poor baby is totally squished lol… baby has like, no room! he / she will not move at all… maybe a squirm? imagine being in a sleeping bag that you have been vacumed into? baby will be getting everything it needs still, just mother natures way of making mum happy pregnancy is over and baby happy (once its got used to it lol) that its been set free… at that stage you can hear babies heartbeat without any utensils… so if she’s panicking have a listen, you may need to move your head around a bit…. but poor mum and baby have both pretty much had enough by now… x gl to your sis x
