Answer #1

lol. I am an alto but im confused because in 6th grade I could sing really high. then I got strep throat and now I cant! is it because of the strep throat or im just older?

Answer #2

Probably, just exorcise your voice and hope for the best, most of my friends voices have gotten way better since they began singing, but it may also be that your not supposed to hit those notes, maybe your an alto.

Answer #3

Your voice matures when it’s older, so if someone’s a Tenor now, they might easily sing Baritone 20 years from now. For girls, the change is less drastic, but the change in range may be from lack of practice. If you practice every day you should be able to progressively widen your range. I was 2 years without singing and lost a lot of my Soprano notes. After starting back up with my voice lessons, I was able to slowly reach them again and now I’m a first soprano, and can hit up to G6, comfortably.

Answer #4

you can even if you take some singing lessons. I do believe your voice will grow stronger as you get a bit older.
