Are the Sims 3 Late Night and Ambitions expansion packs worth the money and actually good?

i bought it a month or so ago and only just installed it and every time i try to play it, it says no disk found i'm using it ...

how much is sims 3 ???

I installed it and when i open the launcher and press play it does not open and a message pops up saying windows not respond...
