Sims 2 Pets Installing Probs

Ok I got sims 2 pets for PC and I downloaded it but nothing came up. like the little box that comes up that ses install ot something didnt come up. I have the sims 2. and I just dont understand why it wont work. help??

Do you have any parental controls on your account? Try turning them off, or using the administrators account. Go directly to the computer icon on the desktop and there should be a icon for Sims there. Take out the disc, and then re-insert it. Try restarting your computer and inserting the disc again.
