Sick puppy!! Please help!

My 12 week old puppy is throwing up, first she threw up all her food but then she threw up at least 4 more times, and now shes shaky, I dont know hwats wrong can anyone help?she also has 3 other siblings and both parents who are just fine.

Answer #1

12 weeks and no shots? Get your puppy to the vet. Then get all their shots. Then have the parents spayed and neutered. Sorry to say but you sound like a slightly irresponsible owner.

Answer #2

You’d better get her to the Vet…this doesn’t sound good. It doesn’t matter how well the parents are…how are the rest of the pups?? If you didn’t get shots for this pup, then it could be a bleak outcome…for it, and the rest of them.

GET TO THE VET!!!

You can take her temp, rectally…its not fun but it will help.

A “healthy” dog temperature 100.5 to 102.5 degrees Fahrenheit. It’s usually around 101. Whitish-yellow vomit could just be bile, I’d try giving her some dry kibble. If she continues to shake / vomit OR has a fever, I’d take a cab to the vet…

Answer #4

Dara, has given you some good advice. She needs her shots first and foremost. Also if she has a “ pot belly “ she most likely has roundworms which is common for a puppy and not anything major. Either way she needs vet help!

Answer #5

Has she had her shots? At that age, she should have had her Parvo/Distemper/E. Canis, etc shot. It’s also called a 4-in-1 or 5-in-1.

Is the vomit bloody? Are her eyes rolling back? Is she having diarrhea? I need more details to help you more specifically, but – and especially if she hasn’t had those shots – I’d take her to the vet ASAP! All of those diseases are usually deadly.

Answer #6

she may be going into shock… CALL THE VET!!

Answer #7

call the vet!

Answer #8

no they have not had their shots yet, no the vomit is not bloody, its whitish yellow, her eyes are not rolling back, I dont know if shes having diarrhea, they ate at 8am then went outside. I dont have a vehicle to take her to the vet, she has stopped vomiting, she is sleeping now. Should I take her temp? what is a normal temp for a dog?

Answer #9

I treated all the dogs with dewormer a few days ago, cause I wanted to be sure they didnt have them. she seems fine now, her temp is normal, I will keep a close eye on her and cech for diarrhea. Thank you all very much for the advice.
