Should Taxpayers know the details on this 2 Trillion ?

The Federal Reserve is refusing to identify the recipients of almost $2 trillion of emergency loans from American taxpayers or the troubled assets the central bank is accepting as collateral. Americans have no idea where their money is going or what securities the banks are pledging in return - Should Taxpayers know the details on this 2 Trillion ?

Answer #1

Yes, the federal reserve hasn’t really helped the American people especially economically. I say, if these next 4 years are going to be all about the same, people that voted for Obama will be disappointed. So, I’d say, let’s get rid of the federal reserve. All tax payers should have the right to know where the money goes too.

Answer #2

Yep. The Federal Reserve has been an economic dictatorship, and an incompetent one at that. There’s nothing to be gained by keeping this institution around. Time to dissolve them.

Answer #3

Yes. This is one time that liberals, conservatives, liberatarians and communists can all agree. What the Fed is doing is unethical, unconscionable, and very probably illegal.

It’s time to fire the fed.

Answer #4

absolutely, especially since the ceo’s and coo’s of AIG just spent a bunch of the taxpayers dollars at a posh resort in Arizona last weekend, in total breach of the agreement not to spend taxpayers dollars on such things.. AIG execs , of course, claim this meeting was absolutely essential, at the same time whining for another 40 FRIKN BILLION MORE DOLLARS… wonder who’s pulling the strings at the reserve, and just which party is going to benefit. I thought under obama all these things were going to be transparent…we, the people, will never be told the truth, at least not for another 4 years…hopefully…oh ..hey wattup amblessed, keep the faith…

Answer #5

and now obama wants to keep bernake …great.. more of the same…WHERE’S THE CHANGE?

Answer #6

The taxpayers should be able to know where every dime of tax revenues go.

I agree, fire the fed.

Answer #7

Obama does not want to keep Bernanke.
