Should I try out for football?

I never knew I liked the game till I was at my friends Barmitzva and we had a big game. I was able to keep running with 5 guys clinging onto me, and the people their said I was good. I want to try out for school but I am not sure if I should since I never played in any real leagues. I don’t want to embarrass my self in front of all my piers. Should I go for it?

absolutly I’m a little on the small side and I tried out my freshman year for tailback and wide receiver, and I made it lol I did embarrass myself just a little bit but when it came game time I made up for my embarrassment by scoring 3tds on the first game
