Should I move out so I can see him?
I’ve BEEN WITH MY boyfriend FOR 4 YEARS AND WE HAVE BEEN THRU a lot AND HE HAS LIED AND CHEATED BUT NEVER HURT ME LIKE ABUSE BUT WE HAVE TALKED IT ALL THRU AND MY MOM DOESNT LET ME SEE HIM AND IM THINKING ABOUT MOVING OUT SO I CAN SEE HIM IM 21 AM I DOING THE RIGHT THING MY MOM HAS ALWAYS MADE MY DECISIONS AND FOR ONCE I WANT TO DO SOMETHING I WANT AND I WANT TO SEE HIM
I agree with Lela. If he has hurt you physcially - NO WAY. You are better off without him. Your mom is just trying to protect you. I understand what it is like to be 21 and feel that your mom is dictating your life, when you feel as though you’re old enough to make your own decisions (good or bad). However, you have to put yourself in your mother’s position. Ask yourself why she’s so disgusted with him. What have you told her about him? What does she know about him? Obviously, she’s seen you hurt too many times. On the other hand, if you want to see him, you should. After all, you are 21. If you want to move out and strongly believe you can move past all of the issues you’ve had with him PERMANENTLY - then do it. You will learn from your mistakes if your relationship fails -OR- you will have a great relationship regardless of the problems you’ve had. You need to live your own life regardless of what your mom says. She needs to allow you to make your own choices so you can learn from your experiences. So, there’s really two sides to the scenario. Hope this helps!
mom’s always know best. sometimes our mothers can see things that we wont let ourselves see. i definatley think you should listen to your mother. especially because he has cheated on you. once a cheater always a cheater. you deserve someone that will not break your heart.
When you say he has hurt you, are you talking about verbally or physically? If it’s physically, you are better off without him. Don’t go back to someone who hurts you. It’ll turn into the “cycle of violence”.
NO HE HAS NEVER ABUSED ME PHYSCIALY OR VERBAL
