Should I go to college??

Well…move in is on sunday and I am not sure if I want to go. I only applied to that school because of my used to be best friend b/c she was supposed to be my room-mate. She went thru all this drama with her family and kept using me and my sister’s name when it was all her boyfriend and she knew that just trying to mess us up. Well she recently moved back home expecting us to be like we used to wanting me to come over to her house and all. Well, she was originaly going to a different school than we were supposed to go together but then she registered really late and ended up getting a suite when I got stuck in a crapy dorm. I think this is really unfair and I am considering not going to school so I dont have to see her. Her parents are really rich so I think that has something to do with it. I already bought most of my school supplies minus some clothes and stuff. I dont want my family and friends to be dissapointed in me but I dont think I can handle it. High school was bad enough with people laughing at me and stuff. People say I make friends quick but I dont know what they see in me. I am smart but if college is going to be like high school but worse…can someone please help me. Should I go to college under these conditions? Will it be like high school?

You’re young and it’s a good opportunity - don’t miss it - you’ll be glad you didn’t !

This is my take on this: Just because you don’t feel like going to college does not mean that you are dumb or that nothing will become of you. College isn’t for everyone. There are people who didn’t even finish high school and they are better off in life. Going to college won’t guarantee anything, but it’s a worthwhile experience. High school for me wasn’t the best place in the world. There were times when I hated going to class for different reasons, but I still went and graduated. Another thing about High school is that the teachers and counselors try to scare you about college. They tell you all these things which make you think that college is all tough and that there’s no fun. But guess what, it’s not. College for me at least was the best time of my life! You have more freedom and you really get to explore your interest! I suggest you enroll and try it out. If your first semester doesn’t go well than you can always pause and go back. It’s WORTH a try. You really don’t have anything to loose. Good luck and keep me posted. I’d like to know what you’ve decided.

u need 2 go 2 college! don’t let someone or a situation destroy your life! nowadays you need 2 go 2 college 2 life a comfortable lifestyle. if your worried about seeing your used 2 be best friend, don’t. the campus is probably big enough, so you won’t have 2 see her. if your still having problems you can always transfer after freshman year, but in order 2 be able 2 transfer you have 2 try the college. if your worried about peps teasing you then try and change your personality a little, but make it sincere. Good Luck! P.S.- be smart, go 2 college!!!
