Should I attend Church?

I have been invited by a friend to attend church this sunday. I mean, Im not atheist, but I have never practiced religion. I mean, it’s just not something my family really does. I. I need some advice. Will I like religion if I attend? I want to…but then again I don’t want to in fear of upsetting someone dear to me who is not exactly what you would call religious…lol. What should I do? Should I at least TRY it? I’m thinking I should, but I just need reassurance. Thank you!

Like I stated in your previous question, give it a shot and if you like church, then you can start thinking about practicing a religion. I can tell you, I was Lutheran and never practiced the religion but, I knew that god was there but, I never read the bible or anything. I started going to church with a friend of mine just like your going to do this Sunday and I had the hardest time at first since I wasn’t a member of the church that I belong too now. I’m not Lutheran and I really love the church I belong too now since they’re family to me. Maybe, you’ll find a church that might be suitable and maybe you’ll find a church that’ll be like family to you also. When I went to church with my friend, I loved the chapel and congregation since everyone is very friendly their. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to continue going to this particular church but, the Missionaries really helped since I could feel the spirit right away. I’m LDS/Mormon now and personally, to me its the true church. So, whatever you decide, hope its the right choice. Good luck on searching the truth since I’ve been there done that.

If you’ve never been before, it’s going to freak you out. But you won’t get hurt.

Keep in mind that whoever invited you did so with the motivation of trying to convert you, not just because they thought you might enjoy it.

Answer #3

you should definitely give it a try…worst case scenario you don’t like it, and you’re out an hour or 2 of your life. really, it’s no different from taking a chance on a movie you haven’t heard of; except if you like it, it saves your eternal soul. ;) live the dream.

Answer #4

it wont hurt all it can do is help. and a lot of churches have active youth groups that are really fun.

Answer #5

Go with an open mind / open heart and enjoy the experience…Take care !!

Answer #6

Sure, go to church. You might make some friends and have a good time. If you don’t like it, well at least you gave it a shot. It is a good way to start to learn about different faiths and beliefs. Try a lot of different churches/temples and talk to believers and non-believers. A person who is informed and inquisitive and respectful of other beliefs, is a rare and wonderful thing.

Answer #7

Take a chance and go. . . .You may find it right for you.

Answer #8

You should go for the experience, you may learn something new. Its worth a shot. :)
