if you really love him, and he likes you, then what is stopping you from asking him out? I have had friends with perfectly happy relationships, and guess what? the GIRL asked the GUY out. Its just that the world is used to the concept of the guy asking the girl, but in the end, it doesnt matter who asked who. All that matters is the relationship you two had together. If you want to ask him out, then go for it, but just make sure you are positive about it first. As far as you said, it looks like you are way more into him than he is into you. IF you ask him out, then ull be giving him the chance to like you just as much as you like him, or deny you. I say go with your heart, and if he is nervous about it, try talking about it with him.
