Shaving, How can I prevent razor bumps?

I like to shave everything down there, above the penis, the shaft, the balls, and the area between my hole and balls. I always seem to get razorbumps even with a new set of blades, and even with shaving gel. I use a Gillette Fusion (5 blades) and try to shave about twice a week. I get razor bumps above the penis and sometimes right on the base of the shaft facing me.

Any suggestions before I get myself an electric clipper set to just keep it “trim” ?

MALE AND FEMALE– after shaving any pubic hair use aloe vera. Soothes skin in those sensitive areas! Really cools off any razor burn too! Be careful when shaving there though.

Answer #2

I dont totally shave it clean above the penis just trim down short..I go clean on the balls and around the shaft and I get no burn or irritation..I use a Mach 4 with regular cream btw

Yeah, I just don’t like a lot of hair down there and I always have done this out of courtesy for my girlfriend (not on her request). I have never tried cocoa butter, but I’ll try it if you think it will help with it.

Do you think maybe changing razors would help? Which ones would you recommend?

Answer #4

@rissy haha but one problem. hes a guy and guys normal do use cocoa butter. at least it think… I think the best way is to not shave at all but thats stating the obvious.

Answer #5

im a girl, but I find cocoa butter very helpful. just rub it on after shaving, and about once everyday or every other day. it really helps. the best way to be hair-free is waxing. its painful, but it prevents in grown hairs wich can cause infections and it doesnt give you razor bumps :)

I mix baby oil and baby powder together…it prevents razor burn-smells good and makes it soft (:
