Shaving down there leaves bumps, how do I avoid them?

Everytime I shave “down there” I always cut my self and end up bleeding and then I get bump and it iches for the rest of the night. I dont even get all the hair! My razor isnt a bad one and its not dull or to sharp or whatever. I asked some friends how they shave down there and they saidthey go down then sideways then up. I tried that and it didnt work any better. Any suggestions?

DO NOT use Nair! It stinks, doesn’t work and burns(even the sensitive one). I get this problem too and am now going to try waxing/hair removal creams although I just found some great advice on a different question (sorry if I stole sumbody’s advice) and apperently if you use conditioner then it softens the hair and the skin and you are less likely to get ingrown hairs(which are the itchy, red bumps your getting). Also apperently if you shave in the direction the hair grows instead on the opposite way then it doesn’t cause ingrown hairs. I have no idea if this actually works because I haven’t tried it out yet! But try it! I’ve tried the shaving cream thing and it didn’t work. Do remember to apply a moisturiser to the areas afterwards though. Also if the hair has grown quite long trim it before shaving. If all that doesn’t work try alternatives like hair removal cream or waving but only get the sensitive ones and DO NOT get Nair as I said before! Apperently the boots ones are good and also Body Shop do a sugering thing that dissolves the hair and apperently that’s good. Look up “hair removal reviews” or something similar on google to try find which products work and which don’t. Hope this helped x

do not use nair it will burn. try some sensitive lotion but just a little bit of it. if that doesnt work then you can trim insted of shave

Answer #3

I dont shave personally but a friend said he puts stick deodrant on the area hes shaving before hand and he says that helps

Answer #4

There are some creams out there - I would recommend a brand but I’ve never tried them. But what works for me is I take a cloth in the shower with me and when I’m done shaving there I hold a hot cloth on the shaved area for a little bit while I shower and it makes the bumps go away. Try that before you go spending money on products.

stick deodorent is a no-no! what you need is shaving cream without it your oing to get bumps and it will hut/itch you can also use conditioer as shaving cream but not shampoo! try to shave in the shower (with shaving cream) the hot/warm water will make it earier to shave and the water and cream will make a nice barrier, so its easier and safer to shave and your not likely to cut yourself then you can moisturise the area after also do not shave with soap
