Answer #1

Shadowmen, or shadow people. They are shadow-like paranormal creatures or human silhouettes. They are considered specters or dark humanoids and evil. They are usually seen through a person’s peripheral vision. They are described as shapeless things that take on the form of humans with glowing eyes. Some believe they are created from traumatic events, whilst others believe they are summoned by witches. There have been scientific explanations for their sightings though. http://funadvice.com/r/bgcj53ckqv7

There are different modern definitions of “witches”, but the most common refers to practitioners of Wicca, which is a peaceful, loving, earth-based religion. I am a Wiccan and just want to make it clear that no one of the Wiccan faith would “summon” these things (at least not intentionally). :) However, there may be other people who consider themselves “witches” and might try to do such things (typically the same people who claim to cast “curses”).

I used to be a Wiccan for a while :) and my friend was one too. She tried making her own shadow man, cause she wanted to be loved and she was lonely.I didnt really know what it was, so i wanted to ask. is she in any danger? like did making one even WORK?

Answer #5

I don’t personally believe that summoning works. But many Wiccans do believe that it can be dangerous, because even if it doesn’t work, it can draw negative energy to you and create bad karma. But if she used a spell from a well-known book or that was recommended to her by an experienced Wiccan, most would agree that she’s not in any danger. :) If she’s concerned, she can always try a “purification” ritual that would dispel any bad energy that she might have created.

But if shadow people really do exist, I don’t think they’re capable of harming people. It would doubtless be scary for most people to see one, but they wouldn’t be in any real danger. And her intentions seem good, so I personally doubt that she caused any harm.
