How can I sell my art?

I have some art of paintings and digital work of faeries and some abstract impressonisms of my own porttrait. I have had a website up quite awhie like 2 years and only a total of 200 visitors. I have a VERY limited budget. How do I get more traffic on my site and how should I go about selling my art?

if you would like to see what I have to show and sell. temporarially I have the buying option turned off because of various reasons.

I’d appreciate some feedback.

I.e. how much would you pay for a poloaroid print-out that was framed numbered and signed.

what could I improve on. and such other things. My work IS copyrighted and so you DO need to ask permission for use if you decide you’d like to host images somewhere. But,anyway. Let me know!

Go to where the audience is first - in your case, its eBay. On each of your eBay listings you could also have the link to your website, which could help generate more traffic for it also. My mum got inspired by lex_icon’s success with the NZ eBay equivalent, and also lex_icon’s positive comments about the jewellery my mum was making so she started selling online too, and has been doing quite well.

I’d say give it a go - you haven’t got much to loose. Just start with a few artworks up there, then go from there.

Have you looked at selling it on ebay? I sold a lot of my art on a similar site in New Zealand (my home), and made a pretty reasonable living off it for about 6 months before I left. ‘ve also seen people doing “personalised party invitations”, taking an image they’ve created, lightening it and making personal invitations for the highest bidder on an auction. You could do that for your fairy images- little girls love fairies!

It’s really worth a try!
