Science equations

umm ok I don’t understand how to do science equations and so on this is what I have to do can you like explain to me how to do this

Answer #1

ok, so you’re trying to make the same number of atoms on the right as on the left…

now the only rule here is that you have to add the number before the equation, because adding it afterwards changes the compound… (this would be easier to show you if I could draw it, but just take my word for it).

So…

H2 + O2 = H2O

so there’s two Hs on the left and two on the right, so that’s fine Now there’s two Os on the left, and only one on the right, so we add two on the right…

H2 + O2 = 2H2O

Ok, so lets see if that balances out. Now we’ve got two Hs on the left, but 4 Hs on the right (2 x 2 = 4), so, we fix that…

2H2 + 1O2 = 2H2O

ok, now we’ve got 4 Hydrogen atoms on the left, 4 on the right we’ve got 2 oxygen atoms on the left, 2 on the right, so we have a balanced equation…

Fe + Cl2 = FeCl3

ok so we’ve got 1 Fe on left, one Fe on right, so far so good now we’ve got 2 Cl on the left, and 3 on the right… Now we have to make them equal by multiplying them by a number… so if we make them both 6 they should be equal… so (3 x2 = 6)

Fe + 3Cl2 = 2FeCl3

Now we’ve got 6 clorine atoms on both sides. But we’ve got 1 Fe on the left, and 2 on the right, so we fix that

2Fe + 3Cl2 = 2FeCl3

Now we check. 2 Fe on left, 2 Fe on right, 6 Cl on left, 6 Cl on right

Cu + AgNO3 = Cu(NO3)2 + Ag

so 1 Cu on left, 1 on right 1 Ag on left, 1 on right 1 and on left, 2 on right so lets fix that

Cu + 2AgNO3 = Cu(NO3)2 + Ag

so 1 Cu on left, 1 on right 2 Ag on left, 1 on right

so we fix that

Cu + 2AgNO3 = Cu(NO3)2 + 2Ag

so 1 Cu on left, 1 on right 2 Ag on left, 2 on right 2 and on left, 2 and on right 6 O on left, 6 O on right

etc etc

Answer #2

wow I was going to help you but those guys pretty much got it sorted its kinda like eh … like carbon dioxide +… potassium = … eh I dont know that one but thats how you basicly do it hope I at leats kindof helped you lol

from your future friend vampirezoe101xxx lol

p.s I am crazy

Answer #4

can you give an example of which equations you’re having trouble with?
