Is the school overstepping its boundaries by stating that a student is overweight?

That is absolutely uncalled for. Why in the world is it the school’s business what he weighs? It’s one thing if they did physicals with a nurse and had concerns, but completely arbitrarily sending home this note? Absolutely ridiculous, I’d be in the principal’s office complaining within minutes.

Thats totally rediculous of the school to do that. Do go see the principal or someone who is in a high up position of the school.

If that were my kid I’d be going right to the school board, that’s ridiculous.

well your cousin should be healthy anyways but if the doctor is not concerned then he is ok but your aunt should talk 2 the schoool

I think I need a note sent home. I’m a little chubby :) … … But I’d be ticked if my school tried to force me to lose weight … It’s not their place.

If that happened to one of my kids I would be in the principals office faster than I could even say principal. It doesn’t matter what your child weighs the school doesn’t have the right to say that. School is about education and as long as they’re giving him healthy things in school to eat then they really don’t have much say in how much he weighs.
