School. Help please

Okay well I am a freshman this year and I would say this is the hardest year I have went through so far. after the 2 markin period I faild 4 classes. and for the semester I failed 2. and I have a really low attention spand which means I cant pay attention to save my life witch makes it harder for me. ALSO I have a really bad tempor and tend to flip out a lot on teachers+students. so its hard to even stay in class… I NEED to pass this grade or im screwed. Does anyone have any tips to help me get better grades

Hey you!! Have you ever been evaluated for ADD or ADHD? My daughter is ADHD and the distractabilty is a key with her. She can be working on something and can see dust motes in a stream of sunshine …and she’s gone. Will watch those until something else comes along. Fortunately, she seems to be growing out of it some. And she does fairly well with grades, nothing lower than a C the whole 3 years in middle school. She has had spec ed classes for english and math since 2nd grade. This year (7th grade, we held her back a year in 4th grade) was her first year in grade level English!! Yeah!! Anyway, I think I got lost, [= Talk to your parents and ask them if you could talk with your Dr and be evaluated. There are a lot of great medications out now that can help with the distractability and impulsiveness which could help with the anger issues and just blurting stuff out when angry. Controlling the ability to focus and stay on task may help a great deal. you may find tutoring as mentioned above helpful as well. Don’t think you could have come this far and need spec ed classes without it showing up prior to this year. you would have had problems with your grades all along, more than likely. Drugs for ADD/ADHD aren’t for everybody. And a lot of parents are against using them, but they can be lifesavers for other kids and their grades AND self-esteem. Good luck buddy!! [•=
