I’ve had my cat for nine months already and she still runs away, and she jumps at every little noise why is she so paranoid?

I had my cat for nearly two years before she quit doing that (ok, well she never ran away, but she’d hide at the slightest noise)… some cats just have personalities like that… she may get better, mine did, she may still be scared in general… just make sure she isnt anywhere near the door when you go out…

It depends on how it was treated as a kitten. If you bought her from some one… they may have beat her or mistreated her. I have a dog the same way. It also could just be it’s nature,
