Why is it not safe to leave your account "signed in" all the time?

I usually leave my yt, fb, twit, and funadvice signed up. Rarely do I sign out. I heard that it makes me easier for hackers to access your information…is this true?

Answer #1

Its usually a smart idea to sign out of any program when your getting off your computer and actually shutting it down. If you leave everthing signed in and your computer on and connected to your wifi hackers have an easier time getting onto your computer and accessing anything you have on it. Its not really THAT big of a deal with your social networking sites…its more of a big deal with bank accounts, email, or anything with personal information that could be used in the hackers favor (social security numbers, bank account numbers, credit card numbers, etc).
