Robins eggs

We just found the robin that built a nest in our garage dead. It looks like she flew into the window. Is there anything we can do to save her 6 eggs?

Answer #1

find a heating pat, or a hot water bottle…

if its a heating pad, put it on low, and wrap the eggs in a small towel. if its a water bottle do the same, but you’ll have to change the water every couple of hours…

now before the eggs hatch, please make sure you do your research on what the babies eat. and many times you can make them eat a diet of baby food (beef or chicken, believe it or not) and crushed grains…

you can use a eyedropper to feed them water and food.

if however you’re not ready to raise the little chicks then call a local Wild Life Rehab Center. you can google search for a local branch. good luck sweetie.

btw…if the other parent bird alive? if that’s the case, then I suggest you put the eggs back in the nest. if there is not another parent then by all means please try to save the eggs.

Thanks. Unfortunately we live in small town rural Iowa, so our Humane Society is inaccessable until tomorrow. For this afternoon we have transfered them to a make-shift nest of washclothes and cottonballs underneath our living room lamp. We plan to rotate them gently in a few hours.
