Hey sorry I can’t help I’m just interested in the answers ppl give( I was big and I mean BIG nd I lost most of it and I have stretch on my stomach)umm but you can try some new creams cause different ones work on different skin types and don’t do surgery….just don’t it’s a waste of money

Answer #2

You can’t permanently get rid of stretch marks without cosmetic surgery. The only thing you can do is reduce the appearance of them by using creams, lotions, and other products that are made to reduce the appearance of stretch marks.

Answer #3

I actually just talked to my doctor about that a couple of days ago, I’ve lost 200 lbs so I have a lot. He said there’s nothing he could do. The are permanent.

Answer #4

i was using lubriderm with Shea and cocoa butters and that made them a LITTLE bit less noticeable since i have them on my thighs for some reason. But i would try mederma or palmers or some other scar/stretch mark lotion to try to make them less noticeable since i guess they are permanently there =/

Answer #5

oh yea some more advice since you don’t wanna go out for the swim team because of that, it’s normal for people to have them it ain’t something you can stop just learn to be comfortable with it and don’t mind what other people say i use to not wanna wear shorts or anything that would show them but i started realizing a lot of people have it so now i don’t mind them, if you start looking close enough you will realize many people have them.

Answer #6

I put on weight last Winter and used ‘derma oil’ to help get rid of the stretch marks when I lost the weight again. It worked REALLY well and I have no stretch marks now (except one little annoying line on my hip..). I would recommend it, but you have to use it for a few months before you will see a difference.

Answer #7

try bio oil my mumsays it works

Answer #8

You can’t fully get rid of them. They will fade over time. Quicker with the help of creams such as mederma or bio oil. When they do fade you can use self tanner to help hide them.

Answer #9

Everyone here is correct in recommending Bio-Oil and products like that because it does actually work to some extent. But if your stretch marks are severe and really bother you then an option is Laser Therapy. It’s a relatively new technology that has different processes for red and silvery stretch marks. Therapy is more effective on red, but the precedure is not perfect. It can reduce redness, improve texture, induce collagen growth which improves the look of the skin and fade the marks in general. There is a very high success rate with laser therapy and I think can be available on the NHS if you’re in England.. But yeah, basically. If they bother you enough, look into Laser therapy. It’s not cheap but it’s worth it.

But also remember that everyone gets stretch marks really. Just moisturise twice daily and try not to be too self conscious. They can even be attractive on some people. It makes them real. Just relax about it (:
