Answer #2

Answer #3

drinking plenty of water, stretching, ice, heating pads, taking a hot bath, etc, help to EASE the pain/soreness, but it “get rid” of sore muscles… it’ll just make the pain subside. when it comes to sore muscles, really, they just need time to heal! the reason muscles get sore when we work out hard is because the strain on the muscles causes them to rip. once your muscle has been ripped, it builds new muscle again.

Answer #4

but it WON’T* get rid…

Answer #5

Heat always to work. Not ice, in my opinion. And massage helps.

Answer #6

I would think a hot bath/shower, then ice .. and stretch (a little) .. or switch from heat to ice.

Answer #7

Do some light excercise like streching and concentrate on breathing deeply while you do it. This will reverse the process that caused your sore muscles.

Answer #8

Normal sore muscles aren’t because you ripped them. If you had ripped them, you would know! You’d have to go see a docter and you won’t be allowed to exercise for a while. Normal muscle stiffness is caused when your matabolism starts taking short cuts to give your muscles enough oxigen to keep going. This process causes lactic acid to form and crystallize in your muscles - thus you feel pain when you use your muscles. What will get rid of this quickly is easy/light exercise while breathing nice and deeply.

Answer #9

Ice. Heat and ice. move around. Relax a bit.

Answer #10

Hot compresses and muscle relaxers

Answer #11

I know that everyone says get moving, but sore muscles is a sign of your body telling you to slow down. Rest for a day if you can, if you want to do some light swimming or take a light walk as this can help with soreness, but do not do any intense exercise. Also a warm bath helps. Then if you are so sore that you cannot move try drinking some magnesium (please don’t do this after every workout) this will help to relieve muscle aches.
