How can I get rid of a blister without popping it?

I’m going back to college tomorrow, and I’m walking with my friends. Today I got a really painful blister, and I’m not going to be able to walk if I don’t get rid of it. Are there any fast ways of getting rid of it without popping it?

You have to let it heal on it’s own. In the meantime, you can cushion it with a band-aid, or (I know this sounds weird, but it works) a thin pantyliner.

Now why didn’t I think of that….Now there’s an idea for your next post….How many uses can we find for pantyliners other then their original intent…LOL That’s really a good idea.

Answer #3

If you can’t avoid walking you are probably better off draining your blister instead of letting it burst on its own. Sterilize a small needle or pin in isopropyl alcohol and clean the area around your blister with a cotton ball soaked in alcohol. Lance the blister near the edge then start expressing the pus. If you can’t get all the pus out you may need to lance it in another place on the edge of the blister to get it all out. Now smear antibiotic ointment on a bandage and apply over the drained blister. Wear good fitting shoes and walk as little as possible until your blister heals.
