A resume is telling the employer more about yourself
It usually includes the following categories: Personal information: This includes details about your name, birth date, age, id no, telephone number etc Educational information: The school you are in or have been in, what grade you passed, etc Work experience: Names of previous employers etc Hobbies and interests: Telling the employer more about yourself References: People that have good things to say about you and that can vouch that the information is correct.
I have written a lot of CV's and resume's so if you have any questions or need an example funmail me and I'll see what I can do.
Here is a useful site that explains things even better http://jobsearch.about.com/od/curriculumvitae/Curriculum_Vitae.htm

A resume is simply a printed list of your prior work experience. It usually includes references to previous employers and any special skills or duties that you had on those jobs. If you don't have a resume, just put "none available." I'm going to guess that you're a teenager, and so they probably don't expect you to have one.
