what does it take to get a restraining order against your ex boyfriend?

my ex and i broke up ten months ago and he’s stalking my sister and i. i told my parents and they said that if he continues to do it we will file for a restraining order.

how do you do that?

He gets court ordered preventing him to get near you guys again.

go to the police or lawyer or judge etc, explain what’s going on, they will issue a court order saying he cant be within a certain distance of you or he cant call you or be in any contact with any member of your family all of the details can be worked out with the police or court. if your ex breaks the rules stated in the restraining order, he can be arrested and/or fined.

Well actually you will not be able to get a restraining order against your ex if he has not hit you or done any harm to you or your sister. It sucks I am going through the same problem. Just try to keep living your life and avoid him at all cause.
