Why is there a light in the fridge and not in the freezer?

usually because more people are likely to be looking the the refridgerator people tend to spend more of there time looking in there than the freezer and because a lot of people look in there when its dark and the light helps them see what there looking for

The cost to installing a light bulb in the freezer is the least amount of money you should pay to attain a light bulb in the freezer. First of all, the light bulb has to be designed to work at the maximum efficiency possible in a -18¢XC environment or more. Secondly, it is easy to frost in the freezer, which means the surface material of light bulb would have to be specially designed to prevent it from gathering liquid particles. Otherwise, the life span of the light bulb will be shortened greatly. After considering these two requirements, the cost of the light bulb in the freezer seems enormous.

Both of my freezers on my fridges have lights in them. The small cheap chest freezer I have lacks a light though.
