What should a redheaded goth wear for makeup?

so I’ve always been goth, but I’ve never really worn the makeup. I have red hair and blue eyes. can anyone give me some advice on what colors, brands, and how I should apply the makeup? I know black lipstick looks terrible on me. so I wear fairly dark red or wine color.

Answer #1

Instead of painting your eyes heavily with black eye shadow use dark blue or green. it should look beautiful with your red hair. Stay out of the sun. White skin, red hair, burgundy lips, dark blood nails or vamp, don’t go crazy on the eyes this time. Fresh, sexy, vampiric.

Yes you’re right with wearing red lipsticks. Some shades of brown will look nice too. You don’t say what shade of red your hair is, if it’s a light, gingery red; thick black eyeliner and eyeshadows might look too overpowering. I’d use a greyish blue shade, the grey of it will look gothic and blue of it will go with your eyes. Maybe even use blue mascara to look a little different. Brands like Benefit, Mac, Lancome and No.7 etc are some of the best. But these are fairly expensive so for everyday wear I’d recommend Rimmel: It’s not too expensive and is fairly good quality. Experiment with different colours and ways of applying make-up and you’ll find a few looks you like!
