Red eye
I have a 6 month pomeranian and he is just beautiful. He has always had red eye reflection in the light, like in photos. I thought this kind of weird and spooky but didn’t think too much of it until lately, hes having trouble with judging distance with objects, negotiating stairs. I took him for a walk and he walked right in to the bus shelter today which I thought he was looking right at. I will be taking him to the vet this week, but would love to hear from any one with similar experience. This is heart breaking. What kind of life will a blind dog have? The rest of my questions will be for the vet, laser eye surgery or no, and money?
They all have reflective eyes when you take a picture…
His inability to judge distance or seeing objects has nothing to do with this…

im not sure what to do about your dog going blind (thats sad) but the red eye in pictures has nothing to do with it its the same as when you get the red eye in your pictures. its from the flash nothing more, if it happens in low light too its the way light reflects off their eyes (most animals have the same bright look)
