Does anyone know of any recipes to make using the magic bullet blender?

I’ve had one in my cupboard for almost two years now and I hardly know of anything I can make with it. Kid friendly ideas would be nice too

Answer #1

Hmm, my Magic Bullet came with a recipe booklet, didn’t yours?

I would give you a few recipes from my booklet, but I left my Magic Bullet recipe booklet at my parents house. Here is a site that may be helpful to you though - http://funadvice.com/r/bgqhbhai6md

I generally just use mine to make smoothies, dips (salsa, cheese dips, etc..) and sauces like Alfredo sauce or spaghetti sauce.

No, unfortunately I did not get the recipe booklet in mine. All I’ve really made from mine so far are coffee drinks, and chicken salad. Thanks for the site.

We don’t have strawberries or blueberries grown here in Trinidad. If we have to buy them they are VERY expensive. Any tropical fruits you can recommend that kids would like?

Answer #5

What do you have cheap access to? This may be an easier way of helping you :)

Answer #6

Pineapples, mangoes when they in season, all types of citrus, banana plums, we get imported grapes, apples and pears at reasonable prices

Answer #7

No problem, I hope it helped. :] Sorry I couldn’t give you more.

Answer #8

really, any of those can be mixed and matched to make a smoothie. also, for you adults, you can add liquor to them to make different fruity cocktails :)

I love smoothies! Of the fruits you mention, mangos are great for smoothies (all their fiber makes it very thick, so you need to thin it out with something); pineapples, too, if they’re ripe enough. Citrus doesn’t work so well to blend in, but you can squeeze the juice out to add. (Be cautious about using the more acidic ones, like lemons or limes, a dairy product that might curdle.) I’m not familiar with banana plums, but plums work fine and bananas are excellent. Cantaloupes and papayas are very good, too, if you have those. Apples not so great; pears are ok. Think of it like this: The easier the fruit is to mash to a paste with a fork, the better it works in a smoothie.

I like to put the fruit in with either plain non-fat yoghurt or buttermilk, often some unfrozen orange juice concentrate, sometimes some peanut butter. If I’m using yoghurt, I usually add some juice (my usual favorite is carrot) or water to thin it out; with buttermilk, that’s not necessary. Sweet spices are good too, whichever ones you like - nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon, allspice, cloves, cardamon, etc. Sometimes I use a small amount of agave syrup or honey to sweeten.

You can make nutritious, delicious smoothies out of them. You can also make salsa, guacamole, and cheese sauces.
