Answer #6

How am I supposed to build my own computer?!

Answer #7

IDK I have seen some bad products come out of Alien Ware. My friend got what he thought was a great gaming laptop. Turns out it was an ok higher end laptop they just over clocked the hell outa and added a fan. Called it a high end gaming laptop, and well it ran like crap. Plastic shell started melting in places it got so hot. When he complained to them about it overheating and crashing they told him it was still within operational specs. If the laptop shuts off because its to hot that doesn’t sound like “within operational specs” to me.

Problem with Alien Ware is they don’t really use high quality parts. They throw in mid to low end quality and call it top of the line, and well since they are owned by dell you are basically buying a Dell with a different logo on it. Ask just about any one who does computer repairs for a living for their opinion on dells, its usually not very good :P.

I think you would be a lot better off building your own, or if you don’t have the know how find a geek friend to help you. That way you know the quality of the parts they are putting in.

Answer #8

ive been building computers since i was in bording school, around 12 years old.. you see your gonna spend a lot of money on something that really isnt that powerful.

Answer #9

I have to agree there. Go with custom built. First step would be to start reading guides online. There are some very nice guides on what are some good components - even if you just got to a site like techspot and take everything outa one of their builts and order it, take it down to a local PC Repair shop and say “Put this together for me” You are still a head of the game.
