Why am I bleeding so heavily a few days before I'm due to take my Nuvaring out?

It’s my first month using it. I was told to expect spotting which I did get. When I inserted it, it stopped me from getting my period for that month. I’m supposed to take it out tomorrow to begin my period, but I have experienced heavy bleeding the past two three days, it’s just like a period. As well, isn’t it supposed to lighten it as opposed to making it longer or heavier? I know i should call my nurse but the office isn’t open today.

You Should Go To Web MD And Ask About That Or Go To A Clinic.. Who Would Then Check You Out And Then Perhaps Refer You Go Out Patient At Hospital . Better To Be Safe ..Than Sorry Could Be Getting Adverse Reaction

I had the same problem. it is very normal. You just have to stick with the 28 days in and seven days out, or whichever cycle you chose. It took me three or so months to get sorted out and be on the right schedule. I just used back up protection to be sure until my cycle was normal again. I too freaked out when bleeding happened, but now that its regulated, i havent had any problems with it.
