What could have made me react to my new eyeshadow?

I think I had a reaction to a new eyeshadow, I wore it once and my eyes began to sting a few hours after applying, I removed it but I tried it again yesterday and the same thing happened. It left my eyes red, especially the crease of my eyes. Of course I took it off but this morning my eyes were quite puffy, I had enough sleep and never wake up with puffy eyes, the redness has gone. Could it be one of the ingredients that my eyes don’t agree with?

Answer #1

Yes. You should just get another brand.

Answer #2

Yeah, I stopped using it. It’s a shame because that was a treat. >:/

Answer #3

I’d have a look at the ingredients and see if there’s one that doesn’t seem to be in other eyeshadows you use and only use makeup without that ingredient. The same thing happened to me when I used that Maybelline Colossal Mascara, turns out I’m allergic to collagen.

Answer #4

Thank you, it’s a shame because it was pretty haha. :D

Answer #5

I understand completely what you’re going through. In the last 2 years I’ve been unable to wear 90 percent of eyeliners and eyeshadows. I wonder if the industry has changed or if I have changed. I’d hate to think that major manufacturers have started using cheaper ingredients but it does happen.

Answer #6

I hope not either, it is a horrible feeling.

Answer #7

Yeah same, I really liked my mascara :( and you’re welcome.
