Re-pierce a tragus piercing.

So I used to have a tragus piercing not so long ago, I got it in may 2008 and I had to take my barbell out because I had to have an operation and various scans and I spent some time in hospital and so the hole filled up. Im just wondering if I had it piercing in the same place would it hurt more or less than if I had it in a different place. The first time it was done with a gun (yep I know not good, I was under the impression it would be with a needle but there wasnt much I could do as the piercer has already done it) however, if I have it re-pierced, I will find a place that will deffinately pierce it with a needle done in the proper way. Would that make any difference to the pain? Having it done with a gun thje first time round then the second time around it being a needle? Thanks, im kind of inexperienced with piercing Ciao

Well is you have scared tissue it will hurt a lot more and I had mine done with a needle and it killed it also bleed a little. So it most likely hurt more with a needle rather a gun and depding on if its scared or not.

Hope this helps.

Having it done with a gun vs. a needle shouldn’t be a variant for the pain. Although the needle may be more painful seeing as how it’s thicker.

BUT it will be more painful for you to get a 2nd time due to scar tissue build up. Scar tissue is a lot thicker then normal skin making it harder to get through.

The few things I’ve had re-pierced make me want to cry =\
