It usually depends on what kind of MP3 player you have. The way one of my MP3 players works is that you connect it to your computer using the provided cable, install the software, then go on your computer and click:

Start>Computer>Removable Disk (D:).

When I’m there, all I have to do is drag songs over and drop them in the window.

That being said, however, not all MP3 players are like this. These devices do come with manuals in the box, however, so if my method does not work, the manual will tell you how to do so properly.
