Purging advice

It might be just my imagination (which it isnt of course -_-) But I think someone hates me enough to delete my advice…

Everytime I log on I see a few questions deleted (the most extreme case was 60+ questions deleted in 24 hours) At first I thought it was because of member deletion etc.

But its not (everyone else has the same amount as they had and/or more )

First, I replied to “stuff that’s not getting sorted, should be”… http://www.funadvice.com/q/when_will_the_site_be_fixed there :)

Now, I read this - sigh. I can’t win, can I? :)

Thing is, if it’s a duplicate (say, how do I confirm my account?) we periodically clean those up…we really only need one - maybe two - certainly, not 10, or 20. So yes, your count (and mine) and other active members advice has probably gone down…however, it’s also made the site better :) As it’s easier to browse (and more interesting) when we don’t have 100 variations of the same exact question.

Long term, we are working on something that’ll do a better job of preventing the duplicate from being posted in the first place…which will mean that people don’t end up getting answers removed, as only more unique questions will come through.
